  19. The fastest, most reliable and most expensive is probably Exabyte 8mm 
  20. Tape. A friend is backing up to 4mm DDS2 DAT from the Flyer software. 
  21. He's had some problems with tapes that are unrecognizable by the system. 
  22. The Flyer's current backup software is also very slow, Amiback is about 4 
  23. times as fast.

  25. I've been having similar problems with my Flyer tape backup, and was hoping
  26. to find an alternative.  Amiback sounds like the alternative, but do you
  27. require a scsi controller operating off the mother board for the tape drive
  28. to use Amiback?  Or can you use any of the Flyer's scsi controllers?

  30. I've lost a lot of stuff using the Flyer's tape backup.  Don't use it yet, at
  31. any cost.  At least, don't use it with the O'Conner Python DAT Drive.  That's
  32. what I'm using.
